Scotch on the rocks at the Ice Experience in Niseko Ski Resort

Recently returned skiing party from Niseko (Australian skiers) inform Ski The World that eating out in Niseko is a real treat.

There’s a variety of Western and traditional Japanese restaurants to chose from and plenty of places to hit after you’ve been on the snow all day.

Fujizushi was a favourite by far serving excellent Japanese dishes. As was Tozanken and Kabuki.

For Apres skiing adventure, the Ice Bar rated highly. The preferred beverage was Balies on ice served in an ice glass surrounded by tables, stools, bar all made of ice. Don’t forget to take your gloves so you can get said beverage from ice table to mouth.

Herbie’s Bar in Niseko is great for happy hour drinks on your way home from the slopes and for a bit of Western cuisine, try Sekka Deli. Excellent food and a very good up-market restaurant too.
