Just think of this. You are in an ice room, sitting at an ice table, on a seat made of ice, drinking a scotch on the rocks in an ice glass. Best if you wear your winter woollies at least until the scotch kicks in and you can’t even remember where you are, least of all how cold it is to hold your drink. What drink?

Some background information from the Ice Experience Ice Bar website:

This magnificent feat of frozen architecture, which is designed, constructed, and operated annually by a team of professional ice builders and ice artists from around the world under the direction of Ice & Earth Co., Ltd. It is constructed from 300 tons of “snice” (a special mix of snow and ice) and 1,000 tons of ice. The drinks are served in glasses made from Kyogoku Ice from the famous nearby Kyogoku Spring. The concept and beauty of Ice Experience is when the entire ice bar melts in the spring, the water naturally returns into the rivers.

Ski and snowboarding buddies skied Niseko recently and discovered this bar one night. Great place was the decided opinion.
