Ski resorts gearing up for the southern winter

Ski resorts in the Southern Hemisphere are getting ready for the 2010 winter ski season which is expected to be a great one.
In Australia, some ski weather watchers are saying that the huge water flowing into the normally dry Lake Eyre means that a big snow season is on the way.
In New Zealand, the snow Gods are much kinder. Nevertheless, some resorts have increased their snow making capabilities for the coming winter (as have some Australian resorts).
Ski resorts in South America are also gearing up for a bumper ski season. With their high altitudes, snowmaking is not such an issue for resorts in this region.
