Skiing – the best fun you can have standing up

No question that skiing is the best fun you can have while in standing position. Snowboarders may choose to differ and we’re prepared to listen to all points of view here at Ski The World.
The accompanying photo is from Silver Star mountain ski resort and the word ‘wow’ comes to mind. Not original but says it all really.
Word here in Australia in mid January 2010 is that the weather on Canada’s west coast is warmer than usual and having a disastrous effect on the ski mountains and ski-ability. It’s called locally (in British Columbia), the pineapple express as it is warm air coming up from Hawaii that is causing all the problems. Let’s hope it moves on and some cold air can come in in time for the Winter Olympics in Vancouver starting in early February.
But despite the snow quality, skiing is by far the best fun going around. But we all know that already.
