About The Remarkables

The Remarkables is a ski resort not far from Queenstown on the South Island of New Zealand.

It has 220 hectares of skiable terrain for the novice through to advanced skiers who love to ski steep runs and chutes.

The resort is not called The Remarkables because it is such an awesome ski resort (though many will confirm that it is), it’s name comes from the mountain range that has the same name.

Getting to The Remarkables ski resort

The Remarkables is about a 45-minute drive from Queenstown by shuttle or your car. Queenstown has an airport serviced by regular flights from Australian cities such as Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne (about three hours airtime).

Accomodation for The Remarables

Like many ski resorts in New Zealand, there is no on-mountain accommodation. The logical place to stay is Queenstown which has an abundance of places to stay from the very cheap to the incredibly expensive. Be prepared for the 45-minute travel time up and down each day.
