Kicking Horse Ski Resort from Prestige Motel on Highway One at Golden BC Canada

The runs at Kicking Horse Resort at Golden British Columbia Canada

Kicking Horse Ski Resort is in the Kootenay Mountains about 15 minutes from the town of Golden. It’s renowned as a challenging mountain to ski with lots of chutes for experienced, high-level skiers. The breakdown of runs is 20 percent beginners, 20 percent intermediate, 45 percent advanced and 15 percent expert.

Kicking Horse provides an hour and a half free tour of the mountain (limited to green and blue runs). The tours are conducted by ski instructors who quickly assess the level of ability and show skiers and snowboarders the best runs for their skill level.
