View over Lake Tahoe from Heavenly Ski Resort

Heavenly Ski Resort is in the South Lake Tahoe district of the United States and crosses two US states: California and Nevada

It gets an annual snow fall of 900 centimetres a season, has 94 ski runs with 30 high-tech lifts and gondolas servicing the biggest vertical drop of any ski resort in California. Some say it has the best tree runs in North America.

It truly is a heavenly resort with a beautiful vista overlooking the world’s largest alpine lake, Lake Tahoe.

What’s best about Heavenly Ski Resort?

Review from a couple of intermediate skiers: ‘There is certainly enough terrain to keep us skiing all day with piste, powder and great views from many runs – especially from the summit. For those gun skiers and boarders looking for double black diamond runs, there may not be enough for them, however for all other skiers and snowboarders, you can’t fault this great ski resort. Theres plenty of good food on the mountain at reasonable prices and for accommodation, those on the Nevada side offer the best value.’
